Driver Killed In Fiery I-275 Crash
For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a traffic sign support pole on the shoulder of the highway.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA — A 62-year-old Largo man was killed when he lost control of his vehicle, triggering a fiery I-275 crash Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just after 11 a.m. Saturday, South of Milepost 30, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Gaskins.
For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle, departed the roadway, and struck a traffic sign support pole on the shoulder, according to the highway patrol. The vehicle erupted in flames.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from injuries suffered during the crash, Gaskins said.
