Drug Lab Found In St. Pete Home: Police
A New Port Richey man faces drug trafficking charges after a drug lab was found in a Venetian Isles home, St. Pete police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A drug lab found in a waterfront home at 2063 Illinois Ave. NE is under investigation, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
One person, Robert A. Papp Jr., was arrested, police said.
Papp, 32, of New Port Richey was booked into Pinellas County Jail on Sunday around 7:30 a.m., according to jail records. He faces three charges related to trafficking amphetamines.

Police initially responded to a noise complaint overnight at the home, WFLA reported. A house sitter at the property had invited people over. When officers arrived, they discovered the drug lab.
Several fire trucks and emergency vehicles responded to the Venetian Isles home Sunday afternoon during the investigation.

This was "a precautionary measure, as some of the substances can be volatile," police said.
There was no danger to nearby properties and none were evacuated.
