The 99% Spring trainings just ended, but the movement has just begun. Not only are activists coming together for the 99%, but climate activists are taking action as well. We must come together and take action for the Earth - we only have one. From everything from coal-fired power plants and burning fossil fuels, to ocean acidification and mass deforestation: The tide is rising.
We will be holding a 3-hour training on grassroots organizing and ways you can plan an event and action of your own in lieu of Climate Impacts Day on 5/5/12. This is a worldwide day of recognition. There will be other topics that we will briefly cover in the 3-hour time span.
The training will take place in NORTH STRAUB PARK in St. Petersburg, near the Pier.
After the training, we will be taking a photo and sending it to 350.org. Please bring a white t-shirt and a towel or blanket, since we will be outdoors and sitting on the ground. You can bring snacks with you to share with everyone. We have prepared in case it rains just so you don't get wet.
If you cannot make it to the training, then feel free to join us for the photo-op at 1:00 PM, meet at same location. The only time to take action, is now. We look forward to meeting you!
