The museum welcomes Francis Bok, who was captured by Arab gunmen in the Sudan and forced into slavery when he was 7 years old. He is the first escaped slave to testify before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, the museum says, and his book, "Escape from Slavery" is considered an "important record of the experience of contemporary slavery."
