Neighborhood Home Solutions, a HUD approved housing counseling organization, will be helping local victims of foreclosure to determine if they qualify for compensation or other remedy at this event. This event is part of an ongoing effort to reach families who received letters from the Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) advising them of their possible eligibility for a free review, which they must request by July 31, 2012, organizers said.
Certified housing counselors will be on site to help attendees determine if they qualify for the Independent Foreclosure Review, obtain the review form, complete it and submit it. In addition, Neighborhood Home Solutions will provide assistance for homeowners who are currently in default.
