ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A new farm-to-table restaurant held its soft opening in St. Petersburg’s Edge District this past weekend.

“We are so thankful for this incredible soft opening weekend and for meeting all of you. After a whole year of work, we finally have a space where real, nutrient-dense food is the main character,” Cafe Origen’s team wrote in a social media post. “To everyone who has supported us since the beginning, walked through our doors, waited in line, and tried our first dishes: thank you. You’re the reason this casa feels alive.”
The post continued, “This is only the beginning. We’ll be adding new dishes and drinks to the menu every week, so come back and see what the farm writes next.”

The seed oil-free restaurant uses organic ingredients. Casa Origen offers a counter-service format, and indoor and outdoor seating.
The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., but plans to launch a full dinner menu in January, according to I Love the Burg.
