Sacred Activist Demonstration – This Has to Stop!

06/03/2020, St. Petersburg, FL – First Unity Spiritual Campus, a Unity Church and New Thought Center for Spiritual Living in the Tampa Bay region of Florida takes to the streets this Sunday June 7th at 2:22pm for a Sacred Activist Demonstration of Peace and Prayer. Joining with the tens of thousands to speak out against fear, injustice and inhumanity, taking to the streets to speak FOR Peace, Equality and Life Rights for all. As Sacred Activist, we stand and affirm: “We will be the change we want to see. Together as a CommUnity we will heal the divide,” says Rev. Kimberley Harrell, Public Relations Dir at First Unity.

“United we Stand, Divided we are merely a Distraction” says Rev. Dr. Temple Hayes, Spiritual Leader of First Unity Spiritual Campus. Calling for change and healing the divide from Central Ave in St. Petersburg because it is the demarcation between St. Petersburg N and St. Petersburg S with the Southside being historically African American and the Northeast being historically Caucasian.

Rev. Dr. Temple Hayes and other ministers will inspire and ignite you while sharing; we must be difference makers and an important model in the community we are a part of and right now that is globally. We will stand together, for we cannot do it alone. Standing firm in resolution to end racial injustice and for life rights for all. The need is great and now is the time we cannot wait any longer. We must join as Sacred Activist, in equal measure, inspiring for the commitment it represents and heartbreaking for its profound need.

First Unity’s Music Director Rev. Wanda Nero Butler, award winning gospel recording artist, and the First Unity Voices will join in the demonstration adding their voices in song to inspire and uplift all within hearing. They will lift their voices until every person of color in America can feel fully safe, seen and heard.

“Join with us in peace and prayer” urges Rev. Kimberley. At the intersection of 13th St. and Central Avenue, Sunday June 7th at 2:22pm (EDT). Please follow your own guidance and that of the CDC in social distancing and precautions for your own good health.

YES Youth Expressing Spirit is at 11:30am Sunday, also including nursery. Our Wednesday Meditation Service begins at 12pm in the D’Alessandro chapel and the Wednesday Sound and Healing Meditation begins at 6pm.
