First Zero-Arrest Protest Night Recorded: St. Pete Police
Arrests involving protesters subsided Thursday. St. Pete Police hope protesters start using sidewalks for safety reasons.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Thursday was an arrest-free day and night at protests around St. Petersburg, said St. Pete police on Twitter. This was the first night since protests against police brutality kicked off on Saturday that police hadn't made an arrest of protesters.
The St. Petersburg Police Department continues to encourage people who would like to peacefully protest to do so safely.
"We would like to remind everyone who is protesting, marching or walking in St.
Petersburg to stay on the sidewalks and avoid walking in the road," said police in a news release. "Also be sure to cross streets safely and do not block intersections. We value resident and visitor safety, and do not want anyone to risk getting hurt."
