Five Bucks Drinkery Opening in Pinellas Park

Five Bucks Drinkery is opening its second location on June 15, according to Creative Loafing.

It will open its doors at 7402 49th Street N., the former home of Pete & Shorty’s.

The restaurant and bar’s original location is in downtown St. Petersburg and is a staple of the 200 block.

Fo’Cheezy Partners with Rays, Rowdies

Fo’Cheezy Twisted Meltz is partnering with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tampa Bay Rowdies to open grilled cheese eateries eateries at their stadiums.

The business will open three locations at the Rays’ Tropicana Field — at the Budweiser Beer Porch, the first-base food hall and the third-base food hall, according to a Facebook post.

At the Rowdies’ Al Lang Stadium, Fo’Cheezy will open at the field level

“We are extremely proud of this moment in our company’s growth. We thank you to all our Melt fans! It is because of you, we are able to make this possible by your patronage and love for Fo’Cheezy. Stay tuned to the build out and future collaboration content with the Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies,” the company wrote on Facebook.

Fo’Cheezy has brick-and-mortar locations in downtown St. Petersburg and on St. Pete Beach and also operates a food truck.

Summer Camp-Themed Bar Opening in Grand Central District

A new summer camp-themed bar — called Summer Camp St. Pete — is opening in the Grand Central District at 2060 1st Ave. S., according to the business’ Facebook page.

“Adventure awaits at Summer Camp St. Pete. It’s time to explore the great outdoors! Hang by the campfire with a cold one, listen to live music with a cocktail or enjoy a happy camper meal, and some s’mores under the stars or in one of the custom tents,” the bar wrote in a recent social media post. “Our campground also includes a cozy indoor cabin where you can enjoy being at the bar or grab a seat at one of our tables. Take a hike (and) hang with us! Summer Camp St. Pete is coming soon.”

The concept comes from the owners of Dirty Laundry, No Vacancy, Park & Rec, Good Fortune and Lost & Found, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Urban Brew & BBQ Celebrates 10 Years

Urban Brew & BBQ celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a $10 all-you-can-eat buffet with menu favorites on June 10, according to a Facebook post by the business.

The restaurant is located at 2601 Central Ave. It initially opened in downtown St. Pete before moving to the Grand Central District in 2018, according to Creative Loafing.

The eatery is known for its barbecue, serving lunch and dinner daily, as well as a special brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday.
