This amendment would grant full homestead property tax relief to seniors in the low-income tax bracket who have lived in their homes for 25 years or more.
Opponents, including the League of Women Voters of Florida, say this amendment would take away from state revenues and cost an estimated $27.8 million over the first three years of implementation.
