Flu Boo, an annual free flu shot event at the Pinellas County Health Department, is happening Tuesday evening in St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County is offering free flu shots at its annual Flu Boo event Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the St. Petersburg office.

The department said although many health insurance providers cover the cost of the flu vaccine, those who are uninsured may find flu shots difficult to afford.

Flu and coronavirus symptoms can be similar, but only the flu has a vaccine available, the Pinellas County Health Department said.
