Gandy Boulevard Detours Announced
Work being performed Thursday is necessitating the closings.

Motorists who use Gandy Boulevard might want to select a different route if they’re planning on traveling in the early morning hours Thursday.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced several detours that begin at midnight Wednesday and last until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 14.
The contractor working on the road needs to use heavy equipment, which is forcing the following detours:

- Southbound Roosevelt Boulevard – (Westbound Gandy movement only). Traffic will make a right turn at 9th Street and a right turn at westbound Gandy. The southbound Roosevelt to eastbound Gandy movement will remain open to traffic.
- Westbound Gandy Boulevard – Traffic will make a slight right turn at northbound Roosevelt Boulevard, a left turn at 9th Street and a right turn at westbound Gandy.
Detour signs will be in place.
