Gandy Boulevard Lane Closing Announced
Construction in the area between 9th Street and 16th Street is necessitating a two-night detour.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Florida Department of Transportation is warning motorists to expect a detour along westbound Gandy Boulevard in the coming days.
Due to ongoing work on the road, westbound Gandy traffic will be rerouted on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27, the agency said. The work is concentrated in the area from 9th Street to 16th Street.
To facilitate the work, traffic will be detoured from westbound Gandy Boulevard between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. both days. The detour is as follows:
- Westbound Gandy – Traffic will turn right onto northbound Roosevelt Boulevard, make a left turn at the southbound Interstate-275 ramp and continue on I-275 with an exit at Gandy Boulevard.
Detour signs will be installed to help traffic flow through the area.
