Gel Pellet Attacks Inspired By TikTok Investigated: St. Pete Police
St. Petersburg police are investigating six gel pellet shootings, possibly inspired by a TikTok trend, that happened downtown.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Six gel pellet shootings are being investigated in downtown St. Petersburg.
The shootings happened Saturday and Sunday and at least one man went to the emergency room with an eye injury, Yolanda Fernandez, community awareness division manager for St. Petersburg Police, told Patch.
Police think a TikTok trend inspired the shootings, she added.

The pellets were fired from a car driving by the victims. Police received a tip that the shots were fired from a black Nissan Altima, Fernandez said.
