Scott leads by just more than 80,000 votes.

This type of close race isn’t unfamiliar to Scott. He beat out Democrat Alex Sink in 2010 by about 60,000 votes.

While numerous media outlets have called the race in favor of Scott, what action, if any, Crist will take remains unclear.

All results are preliminary until certified by the Florida Division of Elections.
