Gulfport Man Shot, Killed Outside Stinger Bar

A 63-year-old Gulfport man is dead following a shooting outside St. Petersburg’s Stinger bar.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the incident unfolded around 12:43 a.m. when James A. Brown of Clinton Street South in Gulfport was shot in the parking lot of the 2222 49th St. S. bar.

Brown was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he later died.

Detectives are now trying to determine who is responsible.
