• St. Petersburg ranked No. 3 for cities with the lowest average price of a cappuccino.
• Tampa ranked No. 4 for most coffee shops, coffee houses and cafes per capita.
• Miami ranked No. 1 for the lowest percentage of households that own coffee makers.
• Miami ranks No. 5 for the highest percentage of adult coffee drinkers.

The Specialty Coffee Association of America values the U.S. coffee market at $48 billion. Not only does that indicate how much Americans are willing to spend on the beverage, but it also signals business potential to aspiring entrepreneurs. And St. Petersburg has plenty of start-up coffee businesses that have successfully integrated a market filled with national purveyors like Starbucks and Dunkin.
