Healthcare Workers Receive Free Classes at The Body Electric
The Body Electric Yoga and Athletic Companies recognize healthcare workers with three weeks of free classes

The Body Electric Yoga and Athletic Companies have launched a program called “BE Heroes” to recognize and lend a hand to local residents whose work lives have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the month of January, The BE is offering three weeks’ worth of free in-studio yoga, fitness, and virtual classes to local health care professionals. Participants have the entire month of January to begin their three weeks of unlimited membership.
BE owners Jenny Miller and Katelyn Grady plan to offer the BE Heroes program to a different group of workers each month as the pandemic wears on. BE Heroes kicked off in November for workers in the service industry, and in December The BE welcomed schoolteachers to the program. In all, 66, local residents have taken advantage of the offer so far.

“This program is a way that we can help people who might feel worn out and may be short on funds,” Miller said. “Feeling healthy and taking care of ourselves is more important than ever, and giving back to our community is always a priority at The BE.”
