Hurricane Expo Scheduled As Drive-Through: St. Pete Fire Rescue
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue will give hurricane preparedness bags to the first 250 cars at its upcoming Hurricane Expo.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Fire Rescue is hosting its annual Hurricane Expo as a drive-through only site at the Northwest Pool's parking lot due to the coronavirus pandemic, a news release said.
"As our community works to adjust to the new 'norm' of social distancing guidelines, we want to remind residents that hurricane season begins on June 1," St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said in a news release. "It is important that residents prepare for hurricane season amidst COVID-19, and we feel that moving forward with our expo in this modified manner will be beneficial to the community."
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue personnel will give hurricane preparedness bags to the first 250 cars. The bags include educational materials and give-a-ways such as: hurricane preparedness guides, mini first aid kits, bottled water, hand sanitizers, etc. Educational material and give-a-ways were donated by community organizations and businesses that were scheduled to attend the Expo.
