J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. adds two to team

Venice-based commercial construction company, J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. (JECharlotte.com), recently added Steven Franks and Oliver Huff to its team.

Franks joins J.E. Charlotte Construction as an assistant superintendent, and Huff begins with the company as a project engineer.

With over 20 years of experience, Franks will assist on the second Siesta Key location for Daiquiri Deck, a three-story building. Prior to J.E. Charlotte Construction, Franks held several positions with out-of-state residential and commercial construction companies. He also served as a corporal in the United States Army.

Huff will help oversee the expansion of the Margo Lang Children's Crisis Unit at Charlotte Behavioral Health Care. The $2.2-million project includes expanding the 3,600-square-foot west wing to include six children’s bedrooms, an expanded children’s recreation area of approximately 1,000 square feet, a 4,400-square-foot enlargement of the administration and services area in the building’s south wing and a 1,000-square-foot increase in its adult recreation area.

Huff, a Charlotte High School graduate, previously worked in Charlotte County as an assistant superintendent at a construction management firm and as a project manager with an architect.
