Kids and Kubs hold annual Free Clinic Food Drive Feb. 9-11-13

For those making a free food delivery to the ballfield on Saturday the 13th will be a softball game involving the Teens and Kubs at 9AM.

Ed Asay, Secretary of the Kids and Kubs (aka The Three-Quarter Century Softball Club), is inviting the community to join the Club in its annual food drive. Asay reminds us that: “food is a basic need. It is life-sustaining. But what if you didn’t always have access to enough food for you or your family?”

The St Petersburg Free Clinic is the #1 emergency food distributor in Pinellas County. The Free Clinic Food Bank distributes food free of charge to over 65 partner agencies in our community: food pantries, shelters, community kitchens, missions, residential programs, and childcare centers.

Place your donations in or around the BLUE TUB at the NE bottom corner of the stands beginning Tuesday, Feb. 9. Monetary donations are accepted in addition to food. Opportunities to contribute occur February 9, 11, 13, at the Club’s home field, 901 North Shore Dr., NE (across from the Aquatic Center to the south)
