Kids And Kubs Offer A Way To Dust Off Cobwebs, Get Active, Play Ball
The softball Club's mission, "healthy exercise for men and women over 74 years of age," has been in business for 92 years.
Summer Ball is underway, effective Tuesday, April 5, and is open to all veterans, rookies, and prospects. No cost and the coming months are the time to get in shape for great fun.
All player positions are open for male and female players for the 2022-2023 season.

Players age74 and above can begin their preparation to open the Kids and Kubs Intraclub season on October 27, 2022. Those over age 60 may join the Summer sessions at no cost. Bring shoes and a glove (the Club has bats) and be ready to play.

Pickup games Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 AM are underway and will continue until late November. The coming months are the time to get in shape. For great fun and excellent exercise—information is available from the Club office at 727-893-7108; and leave your contact information.
Pickup games occur at 901 North Shore Park Blvd. Home diamond for the team is across the street from the St Petersburg Aquatic Center, 9th Avenue, and North Shore Drive, NE. Prior softball experience is not required, although that is helpful. Players need to quickly throw a ball, catch, and swing a bat. Male and Female players are welcome. Players over age 60, though not eligible for Club membership, are encouraged to participate in the Summer Ball sessions.

The Club has a history and is creating the future for years to come to make the game of Softball competitive and age-appropriate for senior citizens. Numerous studies have shown that Softball is an excellent activity for promoting good health for seniors over 75.
Current planning calls for the 22-23 season to start October 27, 2022, through March 30, 2023. Games played Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning with batting practice at 9 AM, and two games are played each day at 10:00 AM. The second game starts at approximately 11:30 AM. Exhibitions outside of the four-team intraclub competition occur on Saturdays.
