The ‘Kats’ kept the flicker of hope alive earlier. Scoring big in the first two innings and fighting off the ‘Kubs’ effort to escape the lock of a losing streak dating back to February 10. A miracle win by the ‘Kubs’ combined with the ‘Kats win would result in a tie at the top of the IntraClub championship. Not to worry, the Kats win 16-11.
Walt Ewald led his team’s victory with two home runs in a 3/3 day at the plate. Jon Reynolds posted a 4/4 mark at the plate for the ‘Kubs,’ including three doubles, five rbi, and two runs scored.
