"Kits" victory fends off challenge for the TQC Championship

The "Kits" seemed to put the game on ice with an 8-run unlimited 7th inning to put the game in the win column, 19-6. However.....

Captain Gordon Norton led his ""Kits"" to victory at North Shore Park in St Petersburg over "Hannah's Kids" on March 30,2022, at North Shore Park. The win fought off a challenge for the "The Three-Quarter Century Softball Club IntraClub" pennant.

By winning 19-13, the "Kits" avoided falling into a first-place tie with the "Kids". The victory awarded first place to "Norton's "Kits."" Losing dropped the "Kids" two games back in the final standings.

Bob Kane led the hit parade to the championship with a triple and a double, supported by Pete Robison and Doug Righter's two-base hits. Larry McCurdy Frank Harrell homered.

The "Kits" seemed to put the game on ice with an eight-run unlimited seventh inning to put the score in their favor, 19-6. The Kubs decided not to go peacefully by plating seven runs in the open inning, bringing the final score to 19-13.

In other action of the day, Ewald's Kubs held off the Kutchinski's Kats 9-6 to hold third place in the final standings and close the 22-23 intraclub season.
