Lifetime Made-For-TV Movie Showcases St. Pete Businesses, Locations

ST. PETERSBURG, FL β A number of St. Petersburg businesses and locations shine on screen in a new made-for-TV movie that premiered Thursday night on the lifetime Movie Network.
The suspenseful story, βRoommate Regret,β was filmed almost entirely in the cityβs downtown area, according to a news release from Visit St. Pete Clearwater.
Locals might recognize locations including Main Event Boxing Gym, Johnny's Restaurant and Pizza, Parkshore Grill, Three Birds Tavern, Clear Track Studios, Green Bench Brewing, the St. Petersburg Police Department and Straub Park.

βItβs rewarding to work on projects that highlight our amazing community and capture the essence of what makes this city such a sought-after destination for visitors and filmmakers looking for that special and unique element that will bring the storyline to life,β Lisa Dozois, St. Pete/Clearwater film commissioner, said.
βRoommate Regret,β originally called βBad Tenant,β like other film productions, was an economic driver for the region, Visit St. Pete Clearwater said. The movieβs 33-person crew booked more than 200 hotel rooms in the area during filming.

The movie stars social media influencer Maryana Dvorska in one of her first feature film roles, AEW professional wrestler Laura Dennis (known as "The Bunny"), Veronica Long, Josh Cole and Lee Perkins. It was written by Sam Benjamin (βPeaky Blinders,β βThe Pay Dayβ).
