Link Suspected in 2 Recent Armed Robberies

The two men are believed to be responsible for robbing a bank and a convenience store.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for some help identifying two men it says robbed a convenient store recently.

According to the agency, the men walked into the 7539 46th Ave. N. Quick Food Store around 8:37 p.m. Dec. 15. One of the men walked up to the clerk, pointed a silver handgun and demanded money.

Once the clerk handed over cash, both men fled the store on foot.

Deputies believe the same two men may also be responsible for an armed robbery at a Regions Bank branch that took place on Dec. 17 at 9701 Starkey Road in unincorporated Largo.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or who has information about either case is asked to call Detective B. McDowell at 727-582-6200. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through CrimeStoppers by calling 1-800-873-TIPS.
