Loaded Gun Found at Gibbs High
A police officer found it while searching for a stolen wallet.

ST. PETERSBURG – The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating the Monday morning discovery of a loaded handgun on the Gibbs High School campus.
According to the agency, the school resource officer was searching for a stolen wallet in the science lab when the discovery was made.
“It appears that one of the students hid the gun in the lab in anticipation of the officer’s search,” police spokesman Mike Puetz said.
