Man, 85, Dies 2 Weeks After Two-Car Crash: St. Pete Police

An 85-year-old man is dead two weeks after being injured in a two-car crash in the Tyrone Square Mall area, St. Pete police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An 85-year-old man is dead two weeks after being injured in a two-vehicle crash, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

The crash happened April 16 around 5 p.m. near the intersection in the Tyrone Square Mall area.

Calvin Dickinson was driving east on Tyrone Boulevard North when he turned left onto 68th Street N. in front of another car, police said. The two cars collided at the intersection.

Dickinson was brought by ambulance to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. He died Tuesday from his injuries, police said.

The other driver remained at the scene the day of the crash and cooperated with the investigation. No criminals are expected to be filed, according to SPPD.
