Man Charged With Murder After Body Found At Apartment: St. Pete Police
A 31-year-old man faces a second-degree murder charge after a body was found at a St. Petersburg apartment earlier this month, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 31-year-old man faces a second-degree murder charge after a body was found at a St. Petersburg apartment earlier this month, authorities said.
Jovante Darling was arrested and charged Tuesday in connection to the death of 49-year-old Timothy Pustelak, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Pustelak’s body was found on April 1 around 7:40 p.m. during a welfare check at Marisol Vista Apartments, 10080 11th Street N.

His girlfriend, who was out of town, was concerned when she wasn’t able to contact him and contacted police. He was found stabbed to death in his apartment.
Detectives learned that Pustelak and Darling, who knew each other, got into an argument that led to Pustelak’s murder.
