Man Found Dead In St. Pete Home: Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The death of a man whose body was found in his home Tuesday night is being investigated as a homicide, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Officers responding to an unattended death at 1915 17th Street S. found the 43-year-old man’s body around 9 p.m.

Overnight, the medical examiner and technician determined the victim had upper body trauma, the agency said.

“This is very early in the investigation, and we have no other details to release at this time,” police said.

The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.
