Man Hit, Killed By Car While Running Across Road: FL Highway Patrol
A Tierra Verde man died after being hit by an SUV while running across Duhme Road early Wednesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A man running across Duhme Road was hit and killed by an SUV early Wednesday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 35-year-old Tierra Verde resident was trying to run across the road just north of 48th Avenue North just before 2 a.m.
While crossing the street, he ran in front of the SUV, driven by a 62-year-old Largo man who was heading south on Duhme Road, FHP said.

The victim died at the scene.
