Man Hospitalized After Shooting At St. Pete Home: Police

A man was hit by a bullet when someone fired shots at a St. Petersburg home Monday morning, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Monday morning shooting at a St. Petersburg home is under investigation.

Officers were called to a home at 1201 James Avenue S. around 5:30 a.m., the St. Petersburg Police Department said in a news release.

Someone fired several shots at the house and a man in his fifties was hit by a bullet, investigators said. The victim is hospitalized in stable condition.

Detectives believe the home was targeted in the shooting.
