Man Sexually Assaulted 2 Children Under 12 Years Old: St. Pete Police

Detectives believe there may be more underage victims of a St. Pete man charged with sexual battery of two minors, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg man sexually assaulted two children under 12 years old, authorities said.

Donterius Garrett, 25, faces nine counts of capital sexual battery, three counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Detectives believe that Garrett, who was arrested Sept. 8, might have victimized other children who haven’t come forward.

Parents or guardians whose child may have come in contact with Garrett are encouraged to speak with them, police said.
