Man Shot At Officer In Unmarked Car: St. Petersburg Police
A man faces multiple charges after shooting at an officer in an unmarked car Wednesday night, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 23-year-old man faces charges after shooting at an officer in an unmarked police car Wednesday night, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Savarion Miller fired at the officer just before midnight at the intersection of 14th Avenue S. and 35th Street S.
The officer, who was uninjured, was able to drive off and didn’t return fire, police said.

Miller drove away from the scene and later crashed his vehicle at the intersection of 38th Avenue N. and 21st Street N. Officers in the area were able to locate and arrest him.
He’s been charged with attempted first-degree murder, driving while a driver’s license is suspended/revoked, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, and reckless driving with property damage or injury.
