Marchand's at Vinoy Serving Blue Ribbon Bar Food

The bar menu from New York's Blue Ribbon restaurants, made famous by fans like Anthony Bourdain and Mario Batali, is now available at Marchand's.

If you've read anything by Anthony Bourdain, Bill Buford's "Heat" or articles on New York's celebrity chefs, you've no doubt heard of the Blue Ribbon restaurants.

The NYC restaurants are owned by the Bromberg brothers and savored by Manhattan's top foodies. Now the Blue Ribbon menu is offered at .

Such Blue Ribbon favorites as BBQ Pork Sliders ($10) and Honey-Fried Chicken Wings ($12) are on the bar menu.

Blue Ribbon clearly takes the bar foods concept up a notch. No Fryalators here. Just gourmet munchies to sample while you drink.

Other famous offerings include Fried Rock Shrimp with Lemon and Cayenne Sauce ($14);  Grilled Chicken Burger ($15); Manchego and Honey Toast ($9); and White Bean Hummus Toast ($9).

There's a cocktail called the "Hummingbird," made from St. Germain liquor, Avinyó Cava champagne & fresh raspberries ($10). A made-in-the-Sunshine-City cocktail is the "Michelada," from locally brewed Florida Avenue Blonde Ale, fresh Florida lime juice and hot sauce ($8).

Here is the Vinoy's announcement of the Blue Riboon Menu introduced on May 26, 2011, at the St. Petersburg hotel, as well as other Renaissance hotels around the nation.

"This exclusive partnership between the Bromberg Brother’s Blue Ribbon Restaurant and Renaissance Hotels marks the first time the chefs will introduce their famous cuisine to patrons outside of New York City this year. The “Blue Ribbon Classics” menu is already being served at Renaissance Hotels in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Austin.  The Renaissance Vinoy will celebrate the launch of this exquisite culinary menu through intimate chef’s tastings with the Bromberg Brothers on May 26.  

The Bromberg Brothers, known as the 'Chefs to the Chefs,' will not only serve up their admired Blue Ribbon items at the Vinoy, but they will also offer hotel guests their own local flavor by sharing their favorite cuisine hot spots and unique landmarks that are in St. Petersburg. The “Blue Ribbon Classics” menu will be comprised of 12 signature food items as well as specialty cocktails that have been exclusively created for Renaissance Hotels."
