Maximo Moorings Meetings Set On Water Contamination Fixes
Property owners in Maximo Moorings are invited to meet with city employees to learn about the private line project.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Property owners in Maximo Moorings are invited to meet with employees from the City of St. Petersburg Water Resources Department to learn about the private lateral line project in Maximo Moorings at one of two public meetings.
The first is Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. and the second is Tuesday, June 25 at 5 p.m. at the Moorings of Maximo Condominiums Clubhouse, 4910 38th Way S., St. Petersburg.
Some lateral lines in Maximo Moorings have been identified to be susceptible to inflow and infiltration by unwanted storm water and groundwater, especially during heavy rain events. The additional water in the system increases the risk of sewer overflows and backups and puts a strain on the system as a whole.

Next Steps
- Sign up below for a free assessment of your lateral lines. Registration will be open through August 2019.
- Have your lateral lines assessed by a plumber pre-approved by the city. There is no obligation to pursue rehabilitation if assessment results indicate work is needed.
- Take advantage of available funding from the city to help pay for the rehabilitation, based on assessment results. City funding may not cover all of the cost of the rehabilitation, so you may qualify for a low-interest loan from the Solar and Energy Loan Fund for the difference. Click here.
