Motorcycle Driver Dies After Weekend Wreck

Bike was struck by a car on Saturday, according to St. Petersburg Police.

A motorcycle driver died Tuesday from injuries in a Saturday crash, according to St. Petersburg Police.

Zachary Buehler, 22, was driving a red Kawasaki motorcycle on 54th Avenue N. when the bike was struck by a 2003 Nissan Altima. The car’s driver, John Thomas Pearce, was slowing make a lefthand turn into a driveway near 12th Avenue N. and didn’t see the motorcycle, according to police.

The front end of Pearce’s vehicle crashed into the front end of Buehler’s motorcycle.

Buehler was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash and landed a short distance away. He was transported to Bayfront Health where he died Tuesday due to his injuries.
