Motorcycle Driver Dies in St. Petersburg Crash

The motorcycle was crossing an intersection when struck, according to St. Petersburg Police.

A motorcycle driver died in a crash Wednesday morning, according to St. Petersburg Police.

The victim was identified as Thomas Bilicki, 48.

According to police, Bilicki was driving a 2014 Triumph motorcycle at 8:23 a.m., heading south on 34sth St. North.

A 2012 Jeep Liberty was heading north on 34th St. when the driver made a left turn onto 5th Avenue. The driver of the Jeep, David Slaughter, 40, failed to see the Bilicki and struck the motorcycle, according to police.

Bilicki was ejected from the motorcycle and thrown into two other vehicles stopped at the intersection. Bilicki was pronounced dead at Bayfront Health.
