Motorcyclist Critically Injured in St. Pete Crash
The accident happened on Interstate 275 Monday evening.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 37-year-old St. Petersburg man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 275 Monday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Roman Dominic Izzo was heading northbound in the inside lane near the downtown exit for Interstate 175 when traffic ahead of him slowed due to another crash. Izzo, a highway patrol report said, didn’t see the traffic slowing and struck a Toyota driven by Sergio Bentley, 26, of Brandon.
Bentley and his passenger were not injured in the 8:36 p.m. crash.

Izzo suffered injuries described as critical. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, troopers noted.
Charges are pending.
