New Daycare for Children With Medical Needs

An unusual medical clinic serving young patients that require skilled nursing care will open Tuesday in St. Petersburg. The Kidz Club will operate at 850 Third Ave. South.

The Kidz Club (TKC) is a Kentucky-based health care company that is opening its first Florida clinic with this state-of-the-art facility.

The Kidz Club has created 13 new jobs, with potential for additional hiring as enrollment increases.

TKC brings provides licensed medical services in a child care setting for children that cannot typically attend traditional day care due to the complexities of their medical conditions.

The children thrive in a healthy, inclusive setting that allows for socialization, education and fun, while being closely monitored by the professional nursing staff. The Kidz Club services allow parents to resume their normal work and school schedules knowing their children are receiving excellent care.

This type of service drastically reduces the need for emergency room visits and hospitalizations as a result of the ongoing involvement of the medical team.

This is another event and business assisted by the city of St. Petersburg Business Assistance Center in collaboration with the Economic Development; Construction Services and Permitting; and Special Events Divisions, as well as the Sanitation and Police departments.
