ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The new St. Petersburg Whole Foods that’s opening soon is hiring full- and part-time workers in all departments and positions.

The company website said the store at 201 38th Ave. N. is opening in early 2024, while I Love the Burg reported that the high-end grocer is expected to officially open at the end of February.

The store has open positions in the following departments: prepared foods, bakery, customer service, meats, produce/floral, seafood, specialty, grocery and Whole Body.

Whole Foods employees get health insurance if they work full-time hours, a 20-percent in-store discount and paid time off.

The average hourly pay at Whole Foods in Florida is $24 an hour, according to ZipRecruiter.

Whole Foods, owned by Amazon and headquartered in Austin, Texas, announced in March 2021 that it would build a new store in St. Petersburg, Patch previously reported.

Other Whole Foods locations in the region are in Clearwater, Tampa and Sarasota.
