Pedestrian Killed in St. Pete Beach Crash

A 47-year-old St. Pete Beach woman is dead following a crash along Blind Pass Road early Wednesday morning.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, David Adamson, 48, of Treasure Island was traveling north on Blind Pass Road near 78th Avenue in a Ford Focus just after midnight. At that time, Michelle Marie Denney was attempting to cross Blind Pass Road from west to east. She was struck by Adamson’s car while she was in the northbound curb lane, the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media.

Denney was taken to Palms of Pasadena Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1:12 a.m.

Denney, the email noted, was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. While the accident remains under investigation, “investigators say alcohol on the part of the pedestrian may be a factor in the crash,” the email added.
