Pet Rescue: Neither Cat Nor Mouse – but a Chinchilla!

ST. PETERSBURG - This week's adoptable animal from Pet Pal Inc. is a most unusual little guy. Meet Oscar the Chinchilla.

This 6-year-old boy has a plush silvery gray and white coat that is lovely to look at and brush. Looking like he comes straight from a fairy tale, Oscar is a lot of fun.

If you have ever seen a Chinchilla in action, you know these inquisitive little creatures are lively by nature, quick moving and full of energy. Chinchillas are clean, practically odorless animals who can live up to 20 years.

They also are sweet. Oscar can be vocal, making soft chirping sounds that will make you fall in love with him.
