Picasso, Dali Exhibit Opens Saturday in St. Pete

A number of works from the two famous artists will be on display through Feb. 16.

The namesake of St. Petersburg’s Dali Museum will share the spotlight with contemporary Pablo Picasso when a new exhibit opens Saturday.

The Picasso/Dali, Dali/Picasso exhibit features more than 80 works from the two legendary artists, including paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures.

“The story of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali is one of influence, rivalry and artistic greatness,” the museum explains on its website. “The exhibition presents these two giants of modern art who changed the way we understand images and the role of the artist. They are presented side by side in this exhibit, perhaps for the first time.”
