ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Pier will be closed during its morning hours of operation for two days this coming week because of a sculpture's anchor installation, a city news release said.

The Echelman net sculpture's temporary anchoring system is being replaced with permanent anchorage cables.

For safety reasons the city says the installation plan requires the public closure of the area beneath the net.
