Pinellas County Government Offices To Close For 4th Of July

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

County parks, boat ramps, beach access areas and the Florida Botanical Gardens will remain open. However, Parks and Conservation Resources administrative offices will be closed, and beach and boat ramp passes will not be available for sale.

The outdoor areas of the county’s preserves will be open, but the Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center, Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center and Heritage Village will not.

The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, the Solid Waste Administration Building and Household Electronics and Chemical collection center (HEC3Facility) will be closed.

All Human Services and Veterans Services offices will be closed.

The offices, enforcement and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

All other Pinellas County facilities will resume regular hours of operation on Friday, July 5.

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Normal hours of operation will resume on Friday, July 5.
