Police: House Explodes While Owners Make Hash Oil
There was an explosion Monday night in a St. Petersburg home that police say was caused by residents attempting to make hashish oil.

According to St. Petersburg Police, the explosion, which happened 921 1/2 Yale St. N., happened around 7:40 p.m. Monday. 

Police said, "a combination of chemicals used in the making of the hashish oil caused an explosion, which blew out one exterior wall and severely damaged an interior wall at the residence."

At the time of the explosion, three people were inside. 

One man suffered serious burns and was taken to the Tampa General Burn Unit. Another male and female were inside the home but did not sustain serious injuries.

At this time, police said no one has bee charged but that may soon change.

Possible charges, police said, include cultivation of marijuana and criminal mischief. 

Names of the three people involved in the case have not been released.
