Popular Bagel Company Moving Grand Central Shop To Bigger Location

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Pete’s Bagels is moving its Grand Central District shop to a larger location just a few blocks away.

The shop will move from 2361 Central Ave. to 1900 1st Ave. S., the former home of Good Intentions, a vegan restaurant that closed this summer, Pete’s said in a Sunday social media post.

The new location is expected to open in early October, with a soft opening planned soon.

The move will give Pete’s more room to expand its operations and create additional space for customers, the business said.

“We love our building at 2361 (and have had so many memories there over the last 6 years); however, the building itself has structural damage, and we have been straining to grow in it,” Pete’s said.

The new location will feature more seating, a full kitchen, a larger general store area and additional space for community gatherings. Pete’s also said the new location will have more parking.

The full kitchen is expected to improve the shop’s service and order capacity, while Pete’s teased the possibility of adding brunch options.

“We need something that allows us to grow over the next decade and allows us to be the true community hub that we want to be,” the business said.

The shop has operated at its current Grand Central location for the past six years.

More details about the soft opening will be announced soon.

Pete’s other shops include a south St. Pete drive-thru and locations in Ybor City and Tarpon Springs. Its sister concept, Seymour’s, is located downtown.
