ProMed Waste Solutions Acquires Medical Waste Transport Company

American Medical Transporters, Inc. is the latest acquisition for the rapidly growing ProMed Waste Solutions LLC.

From Watkins Strategies: ProMed Waste Solutions LLC, a comprehensive medical waste disposal company servicing the entire state of Florida, announced the acquisition of American Medical Transporters, Inc. The acquisition of the Largo-based company marks the third acquisition since September of 2015 for ProMed Waste Solutions, continuing an aggressive strategy to increase service route density by providing more resources within key geographic markets. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The addition of American Medical Transporters, recognized as the oldest medical transport company licensed in Florida, supports the company’s goal of leading the way in compliance, safety and customer service. American Medical Transporters’ deep expertise will be an asset for ProMed’s partners and support further expansion and innovation within the industry.

ProMed Waste Solutions was founded in 2011 with operations in the Orlando area, and steady demand has since expanded their services state-wide. The privately held company is headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL, with additional operation facilities outside Miami and outside Orlando.

ProMed Waste Solutions provides services to a wide-array of medical waste generators including hospitals, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, research labs, and surgery centers. The company also offers services for the disposal of hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, e-waste and solid waste.
