Public Notice: State Of Florida CDBG-MIT Program
St. Petersburg anticipates applying for Florida's CDBG-MIT Program funding for Disinfection Air Handler Filtration System Units.

The City of St. Petersburg anticipates applying for Florida’s CDBG-MIT Program funding for Disinfection Air Handler Filtration System Units (Permanent and Mobile Units to be used in 14 buildings including, parks and recreation centers, libraries and various Emergency Operations Centers), in the estimated amount of $3,507,000, provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through HUD’s newly-created Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program. This funding is designed to address mitigation needs to ensure that the state of Florida and its communities are more resilient to future natural disasters. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is the lead agency and responsible entity for administering the CDBG-MIT funds allocated to the state.

Applications are due to DEO no later than Sept. 14, 2020. The City of St. Petersburg intends to submit an application, which will include the following activities:
